Reorder PDF pages and verify the exported document
Move page three before page one, exclude page two and compare the downloaded PDF with the intended order.
Try the workflow
Download the three-page practice PDF ↓Examples describe a practice workflow. Your file size, recognition accuracy and processing time depend on the source and your device.
Use page content to identify the source
The synthetic source contains PAGE 1 / COVER, PAGE 2 / DETAILS and PAGE 3 / CHECKLIST. Those labels are printed on the pages and remain unchanged when the pages move. The workspace's position numbers change with the order. Distinguishing the two prevents a common mistake when selecting pages after a move.
The target is a two-page document: CHECKLIST followed by COVER. DETAILS should be absent. Write that target down before editing; a two-page count alone cannot prove that the correct pages were retained.
Reorder, select and export
Add the source to Organize PDF. Move the third card forward twice using its arrow button, or drag it to the beginning. Check the printed label in the preview after moving. Uncheck the final card, which now contains the original PAGE 2 / DETAILS.
Leave Page numbers empty so the checked cards determine the output, and keep the task set to Organize only. Enter a distinct output name and create the PDF. A nonempty page-number field overrides the checkboxes and follows the current order, so do not combine the two selection methods unintentionally.
Verify the file after downloading
Open the downloaded PDF and check every retained page. Our browser export contains two pages and is 1,367 bytes. Independent text extraction returned PAGE 3 / CHECKLIST first and PAGE 1 / COVER second. This verifies this fixture's selection and order; it is not a compatibility guarantee for every PDF.
Keep a separate original for documents containing signatures, forms, bookmarks or links. Rebuilding and rearranging pages can change those features; inspect them in the recipient's PDF reader before replacing a working document. Page exclusion is not a substitute for redacting information inside a retained page.
