TRY A REAL WORKFLOW

A practical example

For an email attachment, start with the original photograph and prepare a JPG at moderate quality. Inspect the reported bytes before sending. If the recipient sets a strict limit, use Image Studio's target-size export; it can also reduce dimensions when you explicitly allow it.

Why is the result sometimes larger?

Changing format or starting with an already optimized image can increase the bytes. Compare the actual source and output; a compression percentage is not guaranteed.

How to compress an image

  1. Choose the JPG, PNG or WebP image you want to make smaller.
  2. Choose JPG or WebP, adjust quality and process the image, then check the output size and visible details.
  3. Download the result. Keep the original if you may need a higher-quality version later.
