Remove selected information from a PDF before sharing
Mark every sensitive region, understand what the rebuilt PDF loses and verify the downloaded copy rather than the editing preview.
Try the workflow
Download the synthetic practice PDF ↓Examples describe a practice workflow. Your file size, recognition accuracy and processing time depend on the source and your device.
Make a list of what must disappear
Work on a copy and list names, addresses, account numbers, signatures and any information repeated in headers or later pages. The supplied practice PDF contains invented information so you can learn the controls without using a private document. Redaction requires you to locate the regions; the tool does not automatically discover every sensitive item.
A crop changes the visible page frame, while a comment or annotation may leave the original text underneath. Choose Permanent PDF redaction when the selected visual content must be removed from the output. Password protection controls opening a file but does not remove its content after an authorized reader opens it.
Mark the page and understand the export
Open a document of up to 20 pages, select a page and draw regions that cover the complete information, including small labels or nearby digits. Add separate regions where needed and inspect their edges. Read and confirm the image-only export notice before processing.
This tool renders every page, removes the selected pixels and builds a new image-only PDF. It does not carry over the source's text layer, interactive forms, bookmarks, hyperlinks, attachments or digital signatures. That trade-off makes the exported document less interactive and may increase its size; retain the original privately.
Review the downloaded file independently
Open the downloaded copy in a separate PDF reader. Zoom into every marked area, check all pages and confirm that the surrounding context does not reveal the removed information. Try selecting or extracting text from the output: this method should produce no original searchable text. That is a useful check, but it does not replace visual inspection.
Check the filename before attaching or uploading the result so that you do not accidentally share the original. For documents with legal or other consequential requirements, use the receiving party's accepted workflow and a qualified review. The tool's technical checks describe the rebuilt file; they cannot determine whether your selected regions were complete.
Inspect our practice export
We removed the invented reference on page one at 144 DPI using Left 7%, Top 10%, Width 70% and Height 6%. The downloaded result has two pages, is 53,713 bytes and contains no extractable text, form fields, bookmarks or attachments. The second page remains visible, but its text layer is removed too. Compare the source and output yourself; these checks describe this sample, not a guarantee for another document.
