TRY A REAL WORKFLOW
A practical example
A sideways phone image may need a quarter turn before being used in a document. Turn left or right and check the orientation of lettering. For a 90-degree turn, the exported width and height exchange places; check that the destination accepts the resulting portrait or landscape shape.
Is the downloaded rotation lossless?
The browser renders and re-encodes the image. JPG encoding can add loss; PNG avoids that additional lossy encoding but may be larger.
