Prompting for Consistent Visual Results

Turn vague requests into repeatable art direction for image models.

Describe decisions, not adjectives

Words such as beautiful or cinematic are open to interpretation. More useful prompts specify subject, action, framing, lens feel, lighting direction, palette, material and intended use. A clear hierarchy reduces conflicting instructions.

State important exclusions directly: no text, no extra people, no visible logo or no background clutter. Keep constraints short enough that the core scene remains obvious.

Build a reusable prompt system

Separate stable brand details from the variable campaign idea. Reuse a concise style block for color, contrast and composition, then change only the subject and message. Reference images can anchor identity and layout more reliably than repeating a long verbal description.

Record the model, version, aspect ratio, seed and key settings with approved outputs. Consistency is a production process, not a lucky prompt.

Iterate deliberately

Change one variable at a time and compare results. First solve composition, then identity, then small details. Asking for every correction in one step makes it difficult to learn which instruction helped.
